THE 981 MINOR BALL LEAGUE

The 981 Minor Ball League is an association that is made up of boys and girls fastball teams from 17 communities in southeast Saskatchewan.

We promote fair play, good sportsmanship and skills development.  We hold skills and pitching clinics that provide our players with instruction

from highly qualified coaches.  We held a skills clinic that was instructed by SFU Women's and former Team Canada Women's Head Coach

Mike Renney and current Team Canada catcher Erin Cumpstone who will be competing in the 2008 Olympics in China.

The 981 League has strived to develop all aspects of our association and was nominated Softball Saskatchewan Association of  the Year.

Our league has not only hosted Provincial Championships but we have earned Gold, Silver, and Bronze medals as well.  The 981 League

continually strives to develop our players and coaches and we have been successful in having players compete at the Provincial, National and

                         International Levels.
